Abstract

The Kupang City Communications and Information Office as one of the government agencies has a need for high mobility of information whether it is used for browsing information, downloading data, downloading data, using social media, and using other internet facilities. The Department of Communication and Information has a bandwidth of 100Mbps and 57 users. Bandwidth management is an important

 

activity that needs to be done with the aim of regulating the bandwidth usage used by the user. Bandwidth usage is not only influenced by the number of users but is also influenced by the type and level of need for sending and receiving (upload and download). Another problem that is often encountered is bandwidth utilization that is less than optimal which results in the network being unable to provide maximum service to all users. Mikrotik router has a queue feature that can make bandwidth allocation settings for each user. Through the use of this router an administrator can perform bandwidth management with several queuing methods. The use of browsing performed by a client computer that uses internet access to access a site sends a request to the web server owned by the website, as well as the next client will carry out the same process as the previous client. By performing bandwidth management and web proxy configuration, efforts have been made to improve the Quality of Service (network quality). Qulity of Service (QoS) researchers use PCQ with Queue Tree queuing method on bandwidth management.
