PEMANFAATAN BOT TELEGRAM SEBAGAI MEDIA INFORMASI DAN LAYANAN AKADEMIK DENGAN METODE WEBHOOK

Telegram as one of the instant messaging apps, claims to be able to cover some of the shortcomings that exist on Whatsapp. Telegram is a cloud based application and encryption tool. Telegram provides end-to-endencryption, self destruction messages,and multi-data center infrastructure. Telegram claims to be the fastest and safest mass messaging app on the market. In addition Telegram also provides a platform for developers who want to take advantage of the Open API and Protocol provided through the development of telegram bots documented on its official web. Telegram bot is a service available on the telegram messenger app. Telegram bots can be interpreted as programs that work automatically, students can interact with telegram botsby sendingcommandmessagesthat have been programmed to obtain various information. The bot provides information such as information about the school profile, information about students, information about the teacher, lesson schedule information, and student grade information. This telegram app was chosen because it is free, lightweight and multiplatform. This research aims to apply webhook method in the use of Telegram Bot as a medium of academic information. The method used in the creation of this telegram bot is the Webhook method. This method is used to specify the url and receive incoming updates via the outbound webhook. The expected result of the study using this webhook method is in the search for information about school profile, student data, teacher data, and grade data to get faster and more efficient results.
