SISTEM PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN DIAGNOSA PENYAKIT PADA TANAMAN WORTEL MENGGUNAKAN METODE TECHNIQUE FOR OTHERS REFERENCE BY SIMILARITY TO IDEAL SOLUTION (TOPSIS)

Carrots are root vegetables that are not immune from pests and diseases. The emergence of pests and diseases is influenced by one of the factors such as the lack of pesticide application. In addition, there is also the factor of limited knowledge of farmers to diagnose every pest and disease in carrot plants due to the limited time for farmer extension workers to conduct counseling every day to educate and because of the unavailability of credible data sources to be accessed at any time. This study aims to create a decision support system with the Technique For Others Reference By Similarity To Ideal Solution ( TOPSIS ) method which is able to diagnose the types of pests and diseases that attack carrot plants and how to handle them so that they can be used as tools for carrot farmers. This system is made in order to imitate the knowledge or expertise of farmer extension workers to solve the problem of pest and disease attacks on carrot plants. This decision support system uses the MATLAB programming language. This system provides an interface to facilitate agricultural extension workers and farmers in diagnosing pests and diseases that exist in carrot plants based on their symptoms, which are equipped with handling solutions.
