Abstract

Woven fabrics are a cultural heritage that has been passed down from generation to generation. One of them is a woven cloth that is in the Tanah Selatan area, especially those of the BOTI Tribe. There are many weaving motifs in the BOTI tribe, for example Atoni, Manu, Teke, Bikase, Koti, Kai Ma Khana. The motif of the BOTI woven cloth is its own characteristic compared to other woven motifs and many people do not know and understand correctly what the BOTI tribal woven motif looks like. In this case study, the authors conducted an analysis of the woven fabric motifs of the BOTI tribe by carrying out pattern recognition (Pattern Regocnition) related to artificial neural networks. The method used to perform feature extraction is GLCM. For the analysis process using the backpropogation algorithm which is part of an artificial neural network. The process of introducing the BOTI Tribe's weaving motifs is that the system will learn based on previous training data. Furthermore, testing will be carried out based on the training data that has been done. The accuracy of the introduction of boti woven fabric motifs depends on the training data, testing, the value of the decomposition on the wavelet and the artificial neural network architecture.
