J PERSEBARAN MAPPING GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM (GIS) KAWASAN RAWAN BENCANA ALAM DI KABUPATEN ALOR

Natural disasters are extraordinary phenomena that can cause casualties, material losses and environmental damage. This often happens in several areas in Indonesia. Alor Regency is one area that has the potential for natural disasters, this is because geologically the Alor Regency area in general has a high level of threat to various types of natural disasters including earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, extreme weather, drought, wind storm and fire. Problems that are often faced by people in Alor Regency who are affected by natural disasters include delays in early information on natural disasters and unequal access to assistance in handling the effects of natural disasters. Not only that, another problem that often arises is that both local and foreign tourists do not know the location points that are prone to natural disasters. Due to this, the researcher offers a Geographic Information System (GIS) Distribution Application for Natural Disaster Prone Areas using the V-Model system development method, with the hope that this application will help the Alor district government in this case with the Alor District Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the general public to find out information about the layout of areas prone to natural disasters in Alor Regency, so that the government can use it as a risk assessment for earthquakes in Alor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, especially the routes for sending aid.
