Abstract

Image processing has a significant role. This is supported by the fact that many do image processing to recognize the structure and the authenticity of an object under study. The imaging process of image processing (image processing) is the process of improving the quality of the image to be easily interpreted by humans or computers. Local lumber company building in the city of Kupang provides various types of wood on the consumer, the consumer usually came and ordered timber as needed and the cost that is secreted to the wood. But often the wood booked has been mixed with other wood or sadder wood is not wood booked but replaced by other wood views of texture and color is identical and the quality urang well that would harm customers, while on the side of the customer does not know anything on what was ordered. Based on this background, in this study, try to design and create image processing applications to determine the authenticity of a wooden building with a region growing method. The benefits of this research is to simplify and accelerate the process of recognition and classification of the type of timber for local building in the city of Kupang so that consumers can be more confident type of wood buildings acquired as desired.
